Produced in the 1980s, Moviecam lenses were developed using high-quality donor glass from still lenses of the 1970s. Small & lightweight, these vintage lenses are known for having a soft, organic look with high contrast & beautiful flares that pair well with modern day digital sensors. With lens rehousing companies recognizing the appeal of vintage glass, those same1970s optics are becoming increasingly popular with digital filmmakers shooting large format projects. Most recently, these Moviecam optics were used by Greig Fraser, ASC, ACS on Dune 2 & by Christian Sprenger, ASC on Mr. & Mrs. Smith for Amazon Prime.
