THERE IS A $285 CHARGE TO INSTALL A VIDEO TAP PELLICLE BEAM-SPLITTER IF THE AATON CAMERA DOES NOT ARRIVE WITH A PELLICLE. ABOUT OUR AATON HD VIDEO TAPS:
The units we have developed are small, lightweight and simple– not to mention priced right. This “elegant solution” approach eliminated expensive frills like programmable, generated frame lines and on-screen footage counters– those features add cost and don’t really help you if all you want to know is “Did the camera operator get the shot?” and “Did the boom mic stay out of the shot?”
The price quoted for the Visual Products HD Video Tap is for installation of our HD video tap into your camera. This is not a user-installable unit. The installation must be preformed in our shop. If you have an Aaton camera with one of our older standard definition video taps installed, please contact us for HD video tap upgrade pricing. The listed price of $2,850 is for an Aaton LTR7, LTR54 or early XTR model camera. If your Aaton XTR is the late-model camera with a Plus/Prod style video tap, the price is $1,795. If you are not sure what model/vintage Aaton camera you have, please contact us and provide a picture of your camera so that we can determine what type of HD video tap installation your camera will require.

PLEASE NOTE: When using the Teradek Bolt or other wireless video transmitters with the Visual Products HD Video Tap, make absolutely sure of proper voltage input and polarity to your video transmitter prior to connecting the SDI cable from the output of your Hyper-Tap Video Assist. If either the voltage or polarity to the Teradek Bolt transmitter (or other video transmitters) is incorrect, damage to the internal electronic components of the video tap can occur and will void repair cost coverage under the video tap's warranty.
